A Landmark forum in my life…

Just finished the most 3 incredible days of my life. Yup all my dear readers (I can count you all the my fingers - no seriously) I am almost through with the Landmark Forum.

These past three days has been a roller coaster ride for me. A ride that explored the depth of my personality and showed me “who I am”. A ride that took me to the pinnacle of my possibilities. A ride the cut through the very fabric of my being. A ride that exploded the genesis of my relationships…A ride that totally blew me away.

A Landmark event?

Okie…I am off to Landmark Forum training for 3 days from tomorrow.

The sessions are supposed to be very very hectic. The training is scheduled for 4 days, viz. Friday, Saturday, Sunday and on Tuesday. While Tuesday is from 7:30 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. the other 3 days are from 9:00a.m. to 1:00 a.m.

Don’t know what Landmark forum is…don’t fret…here is the gnyan (knowledge in Hindi)

Ralph Lauren Drops Fur

Ralph Lauren, long recognized as a leader in fashion, is now also a leader in compassion since he announced a precedent-setting decision to stop using fur in any of his apparel or home collections for purely ethical reasons.

The Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation had apparently been considering eliminating fur from its lines for some time, but its decision was accelerated after Ralph Lauren, the chair and chief executive officer, himself witnessed the hideous abuses endured by animals on Chinese fur farms.

The sign of times!!!

One of the most popular brand of India since the last 36 years, Amul and its cute moppet has enthralled many generations with its humor and take on current social situations.

The ‘utterly butterly’ Amul gal came into existence in 1966 and has since than ruled the hearts of Indians with its pun laced and topical ads. Infact as a brand Amul must have been the first ones to introduce humor into advertising.

Launched in 1966 by Advertising and Sales Promotion Company (ASP), the Amul campaign is currently with da Cunha Communications and Rahul da Cunha along with writer Manish Jhaveri are the creative brains behind these wonderful current ads.

Be it topical events related to movies, televisions, politics, economy, cricket, world events, lifestyle, foriegn affairs, environment, festivals or indians in general- these ads have covered it all.

Steven Paul Jobs the Apple CEO is a leading figure in both the computer and entertainment industries. He co-founded Apple with Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne in 1976. Jobs helped popularize the concept of the home computer with the Apple II, and was one of the first to see the commercial potential of the GUI and mouse. He oversaw the integration of these technologies into the Apple Macintosh. He has also led Apple Computer through its recent resurgence.

Heaven’s special child

Becoming a parent is a capability that God has given to most of us. But being a parent of a special child is a privilege that God gives to a select few.

Let me introduce my most precious gift in the world - my son, Kartik. Born with an developmental abnormality he is visually challenged in his one eye and has myopia in the other eye.

Sounds familiar!!!

Once upon a time in a village a man appeared who announced to the villagers that he would buy monkeys for Rs. 10. The villagers seeing that there were many monkeys went out in the forest and started catching them. The man bought thousands at Rs. 10 and as supply started to diminish and villagers started to stop their effort he announced that now he would buy at Rs. 20 !!!

Indecent Proposal

Many years ago in a small Indian village, a farmer had the misfortune of owing a large sum of money to a village moneylender.

The Moneylender, who was old and ugly, fancied the farmer’s beautiful daughter. So he proposed a bargain. He said he would forgo the farmer’s debt if he could marry his daughter.

A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as one problem was solved, a new one arose.
